Summer at Aggie Square offers high school students a unique, hands-on summer experience in Sacramento where they explore innovation, creativity and real-world skills through immersive one-week programs in areas like digital media, business and robotics—all without the pressure of traditional college prep.

At Aggie Square in Sacramento, students can expand their skills and creativity with innovative programs in:
- Digital Media for Creators and Influencers
- Step into the world of digital storytelling and content creation at UC Davis Aggie Square in this immersive summer camp for high school students. The program examines how digital media shapes today’s communication landscape while introducing foundational skills in podcast and video production, including scripting, filming, editing and online distribution. Participants also explore influencer strategies used by leading content creators to grow audiences, build personal brands and analyze performance data. The program concludes with a collaborative challenge that highlights creativity, strategy and audience engagement.
- From Ideas to Entrepreneurship: Starting Your Own Business
- Have a great idea and want to learn how to bring it to life? This interactive camp introduces high school students to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Through hands-on activities and real-world challenges, participants learn to identify business opportunities, develop concepts, budget for success and market products or services. The program also builds confidence in public speaking and pitching ideas.
- Engineering the Future: Robotics Exploration
- Discover robotics at UC Davis Aggie Square in this hands-on, high-tech camp. The program brings together coding, design and engineering as participants work with programmable sensors, microcontrollers and mechanical systems. Students explore core concepts such as control logic, motion and automation while planning, building and testing robotic solutions. Through guided experimentation and prototyping, participants strengthen technical skills and experience how innovation moves from idea to real-world application.
