Michael and Sheila Lewis Scholarship in Brewing

The Michael and Sheila Lewis Scholarship in Brewing is a merit-based award that recognizes academic and professional success in the brewing industry, supporting a new generation of brewers.

Applications are open now and close Friday, February 6, 2026. The winner will receive a partial scholarship ($3,500) to the in-person UC Davis Master Brewers Certificate Program in 2026.

The scholarship is funded by a $100,000 endowment created by Dr. Michael J. Lewis, founder of the UC Davis Master Brewers Certificate Program, and his family. Full scholarships are planned as the endowment matures. Scholarship winners will be known as Lewis Scholars.
