OLLI Reads: A Book Discussion Group
WINTER 2025: We’ll explore voices of underrepresented or voiceless characters. Behind You Is the Sea by Susan Muaddi Darraj focuses on Palestinian Americans in Baltimore. Percival Everett’s James reimagines Huck Finn from slave Jim’s perspective. In post-civil war Texas, News of the World (Paulette Jiles) follows the unlikely pairing of an itinerant news reader and a traumatized young girl. Free to those with paid OLLI membership.
