Small Vineyard Management IV: Botany & Physiology of Grapevine Culture

Small Vineyard Management IV course introduces students to the botany and physiology of the grapevine culture. Students will gain knowledge on how the grapevine grows and how it is trained, irrigated, fertilized, and prepared for next season’s production. Cultivar and rootstock selection, as well as trellis types will be covered in this section of Small Vineyard Management Series. Scheduling for pests and disease protection, calibration of small vineyard sprayers, and hands on demonstrations of pruning different types grapevine trellises.
