Identify key training requirements for a variety of OSHA standards including the Injury and Illness Prevention Program requirements, respiratory protection, heat illness prevention, blood-borne pathogens, forklifts, ergonomics, hazard communication and the HAZWOPER standard. Discuss common deficiencies in training that lead to OSHA citations as well as tips to ensure training is effective at reducing workplace injuries. Learn to identify the specific training needs for organizations and how to properly document the training each employee receives. Helpful, free online training resources will be reviewed, including methods of finding answers to common OSHA compliance and workplace safety questions. This is an elective course for the Workplace Health and Safety Certificate Program.
