As a true wine connoisseur, it’s important to know how to accurately describe a wine’s flavor and other characteristics. Led by a UC Davis faculty winemaker, this course introduces wine enthusiasts at all levels, as well as those who work in the wine industry, to sensory analysis for wines, with a focus on the use of descriptive analysis to taste and describe wines. Additionally, you’ll discover the methods used to prepare wine sensory standards, wine aroma wheels and how to apply this knowledge to describe wines successfully for any purpose, from production, marketing, research or just personal enrichment.
